Dօlly Partoո, 77, faсed confusion because of her сheerleader օutfit. His supрorters are now critiсizing аgeism.
Here they are once more. The people who dictate to women what they are and aren’t permitted to wear at particular ages are known as the “age police.”
This time, the object of their dismay is singer Dolly Parton, who performed during halftime at the team’s Thanksgiving game while rocking a replica of the iconic Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders’ uniform. The 77-year-old was wearing stockings, a sheer, glittery bodysuit, and tiny shorts with a low-cut royal blue blouse that exposed her stomach. Even though she looked fantastic, her outfit has generated a lot of discussion in the days that have passed. “How does my outfit look on you?” Before starting her performance at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and philanthropist teased the audience with a few hits from her most recent album, Rockstar, including arena-friendly covers of “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You,” as well as fan favorites “Jolene” and “9 to 5.”
As the team’s official cheerleaders trotted out to the title song from Parton’s 1980 film, 9 to 5, in which she starred with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, she swayed and strolled up and down a stage set on the field. The Dallas Morning News posed the question, “Did Dolly Parton’s stage malfunction at Cowboys halftime show?” in reference to conjecture over the set. Her manager had billed it as the biggest production the company had ever done for a halftime show, but Parton never set foot on the star platform with a hole in it behind her. Once more though, the focus was primarily on her attire.
