Kim Kardashian is well-known for her frequently extravagant and quirky holiday décor. Although nothing will ever top the bizarreness of the personalized cotton-ball-shaped “trees” she had on exhibit in her house around 2019, her current Christmas décor has a distinct—and peculiar—tone. Her house has a large hallway lined with fake trees that are flocked, except from her plain, lit trees that aren’t decorated (how sad!). It fails to create the desired effect of entering a mystical winter woodland, even though it is probably the intention.
The corridor reminds us of the far more unsettling hallway of red trees in Melania Trump’s 2020 White House Christmas decor, which Kim posted a picture of on her Instagram Stories. Furthermore, we feel that Kim’s winter wonderland hallway is lacking a few key components that would really make it festive. First, the starkness of the naked, museum-like floor might be countered by a plush white rug that runs the length of the hall and wall to wall.
Even though it would be lovely to have every tree lit, we can appreciate her desire for a more authentic feeling when strolling through the woods. However, the tree at the end of the corridor ought to be in a little more light.
