The cause of death of a Taylor Swift fan who passed away in November in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before to an Eras Tour performance, has been identified.
The official forensics report that the Associated Press was able to get on Wednesday states that Ana Clara Benevides Machado passed out from heat exhaustion.

On November 17, while the fan was getting ready to see Swift perform at Estadio Nilton Santos, the 23-year-old passed away. Time for Fun, the organization organizing the event, said on X (previously Twitter) that the woman became ill at the Rio site. Emergency personnel responded, and she was taken to a nearby hospital, where she passed away. Swift, 34, paid the Benevides family’s travel expenses, gave a donation to her parents, and extended an invitation for them to meet her at a different event after Benevides Machado passed away, according to PEOPLE.Related: Taylor Swift Declares Herself “Devastated” Following Fan’s Death Just Before Brazil Eras Tour Performance
