Alongside her daughter who looks like her, Applegate, 52, attended the 75th annual Emmy Awards on Monday, January 15, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. For the occasion, Applegate and her partner looked stunning in a red velvet skirt and jacket. Sadie, on the other hand, chose a traditional black suit and white blouse. Both wore their blonde hair down by their shoulders and paired the look with Dr Martens shoes to accentuate their identical features.
Applegate, who was the surprise presenter for best supporting actress in a comedy, which went to Ayo Edebiri of The Bear, opened the ceremony. Applegate was nominated for lead actress in a comedy for her appearance on Dead to Me. The crowd gave the Married… With Children actress, who is suffering multiple sclerosis, a standing ovation as she arrived on stage.
“Many thanks for it. The 52-year-old Applegate teased the audience as she came on stage with host Anthony Anderson, saying, “Oh my god, you’re totally shaming my disability by standing up.” She then said, “We don’t have to applaud every time I do something.” Applegate has received eight Emmy nominations over her career. While portraying Amy on Friends, she was awarded the 2003 Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy series award.)
