“Continuity” actor Alan Rak is suing the driver, who claims to have suffered “serious injuries” as a result of an accident at a pizzeria
Actor Alan Ruck is accused by driver Horacio Vela of driving “recklessly” and “violating traffic rules and regulations” the night of the Hollywood crash. A driver who says he crashed with Alan Ruck’s automobile on Halloween night is suing the actor.
Horacio Vela filed a complaint against the 67-year-old Succession actor in Los Angeles County Superior Court, which PEOPLE was able to obtain. In the complaint, Vela claimed negligence and sought an amount of money that was not specified in relation to a collision that happened at the intersection of N. La Brea Ave and Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood at around 9:01 p.m. on October 31.
According to the lawsuit, Ruck was driving behind Vela when he “abruptly and forcefully” drove his 2023 Rivian R1T, crashing into the right rear bumper of the 2020 Hyundai Elantra as Vela was “patiently waiting at the red traffic signal” at the intersection.
According to the lawsuit, the force of the collision pushed Vela’s automobile into the intersection and caused it to hit with another car.

Ruck turned right onto Hollywood Blvd. and “continued driving at a high rate of speed”.
In order to address “severe injuries,” Vela was later taken by EMS to Cedar Sinai Medical Center, as to the complaint. In addition, his Elantra was declared a “total loss” with “significant damage,” necessitating its towing from the scene.
