Danny Frye III, Taylor Swift’s cousin, suggests he facilitated a “love connection” between the singer and Travis Kelce.

The name of the mystery “Cupid” who orchestrated Travis Kelce’s romance with Taylor Swift has now come to light.
It’s funny since lately, a lot of people have been attempting to define me. In an interview with FloRacing TV on Saturday, January 13, Swift’s second cousin Danny Frye III said, “I’ve been going to a few Chiefs games and it’s been an interesting month or so.” “Taylor and I have been together for 34 years now; you know, that’s because [I] set her up with Travis Kelce for a romantic relationship.”

At Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games, Frye, a dirt track racer, has been seen in a private box with Swift, 34. Although Swift and Frye are second cousins by legal definition, they “grew up pretty close,” Frye said to FloRacing.
“There were undoubtedly folks in her corner who knew who I was and who exclaimed, ‘Yo! Did you anticipate his arrival? In November 2023, Kelce spoke with WSJ Magazine, potentially teasing Frye’s identity without disclosing his name. “I had somebody playing Cupid,” Kelce said.

“She [later] explained everything to me and how I was fortunate enough to get in touch with her.”
The previous July, Kelce showed his interest in Swift by announcing on his “New Heights” podcast that he had attended her Eras Tour show in Missouri and had created a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it for her to trade. They were unable to meet, though, and Kelce was “butthurt” by the broken promise. Swift recalled to TIME in a December 2023 cover story that she and Kelce “started hanging out right [away]” after receiving Kelce’s podcast comments. Swift told the publication, “So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to know each other.”
