Donald Trump claims that “Home Alone 2” became a hit because of his cameo: “I was great, and I am great.”

You should realize that Donald Trump is not the Grinch. Yes, he did once tell a seven-year-old youngster that faith in Santa Claus is “marginal.” However, the ex-president maintains that he was nothing but cordial while filming “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” despite the director’s assertion that Trump coerced his way into a cameo.

On Wednesday, Trump wrote a lengthy essay on his social media platform, Truth Social, discussing his forget-about-it performance from the 1992 comedy. “Director Chris Columbus, along with other individuals, were imploring me to appear in ‘Home Alone 2,'” Trump wrote. “At the time, I owned the Plaza Hotel in New York, which they rented. I didn’t want to do it and I was too busy. They were courteous, but more importantly, tenacious. After I consented, the rest is history! He continued, “That little cameo took off like a rocket and the movie was and still is a big success, especially around Christmastime.” “I get calls every time it airs,”

Columbus recently revealed to Business Insider that Trump would only allow them to use the Plaza if he could make a cameo, on top of the usual shooting price. Columbus stated, “He did bully his way into the movie.” Trump wrote, “Nothing could be further from the truth.” “That cameo made the movie a hit, but why did they put me in and keep me there for more than 30 years if they felt like I was being bullied or didn’t belong there?” The reason is because I was and still am fantastic for the film! Just another former Hollywood star hoping to gain some quick notoriety for himself through Trump!”
