Kendall Jenner’s little black dress was a masterpiece of simplicity

The origins of the little black dress, or LBD, may be traced back to Coco Chanel in the 1920s. It’s an idea that has unquestionably stood the test of time and always, ever will. Being the minimalistic queen that she is, Kendall Jenner loves this wardrobe essential and has even managed to make the timeless look appear more modern and youthful. Jenner, a reality television star turned model, was able to unleash her inner Audrey Hepburn last night at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas Grand Opening Celebration thanks to her modest black outfit.

Jenner wore a basic black slip dress with a daring corseted bodice that gave the otherwise flowing outfit substance. Kendall accessorized her gown with a simple black shoulder purse and strappy black heels, according to the all-black theme. The entire ensemble has the air of a timeless Kendall moment—simplistic with a hint of edge. Among the Kardashian-Jenner family, Kendall wasn’t the only one to don a traditional LBD.

Kim Kardashian, dressed in her very own LBD, twined with her sister at the party held in Las Vegas. Kim chose a black knit scoop-neck gown with a little sheer construction and a ruffled hem, while Kendall went with a slightly more formal look in her black slip dress. Her only jewelry was a chic chain choker necklace and a few of silver rings around her fingers.
