Kyle Richards of RHOBH defends Mauricio Umansky’s decision to skip the event honoring his late friend Lorene Shea.

In response to Mauricio Umansky’s absence from a ceremony honoring her late friend Lorene Shea, Kyle Richards is defending his spouse. “I want to make this clear. I suppose I should again because I did so quite a bit. Moe repeatedly offered to postpone his vacation. Even though a lot of individuals were part in this trip, Kyle, 55, posted a video from the Wednesday, January 17 edition of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ aftershow on her Instagram Story on Thursday, January 18. “I told him he did not need to do that,” she said. None of the other men were going, and the event date was changed at the last minute. That night, I was surrounded by a lot of support. It is unfair to hold that against him.

Costars Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais talked about Mauricio’s absence from the event in the video that Kyle uploaded. “Kyle must be having a hard time with this. Your spouse should accompany you. Where was Mauricio, Kyle? Sutton, fifty-two, asked. The next scene in the clip shows Kyle giving Erika Jayne an explanation. He wasn’t in the city. Kyle remarked, “You know, he really did love Lorene, and she loved him so much. It really wasn’t his fault in the slightest. If he had been in town, he would have been there for me and for her.

In remembrance of Lorene, who committed herself in May 2022 at the age of 52, Kyle presented the event with the National Alliance on Mental Illness on the January 10 edition of RHOBH. Kyle was accompanied by her four daughters, but Mauricio was not present. Along with Mauricio, she has three daughters: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Her oldest daughter, Farrah, 35, is with her ex-husband, Guraish Aldjufrie.
