Maren Morris discusses her “ongoing” divorce from husband Ryan Heard and says whether or not she is dating anyone.

Maren Morris is opening up about her divorce from husband Ryan Hurd two months after filing to end their marriage.
Morris, 33, was asked about her new look during her Wednesday, December 13, appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, joking that she “cut all the trauma out of my hair” when she got her short bob. (Morris previously hinted via her Instagram Story that she was in her “annual existential crisis” era, writing, “Cut all hair off. Adopt a dog. Get back on antidepressants.”)
“I believe that many individuals, not just myself, have experienced it this year. Many people who are close to me have also gone through it. She went on, “I know a lot of folks who have split up or gotten divorced. Morris responded, “It’s ongoing,” after host Howard Stern mentioned that she “went through a divorce this year.” This should kind of come to an end. Morris said that she wasn’t at all prepared to consider dating, saying, “I don’t have the headspace for that yet.” However, I’m writing a lot at the moment. I’ve kind of just dated through music in that sense.

Documents that Us Weekly was able to get show that Morris filed for divorce on October 2. She gave the excuse of “irreconcilable differences” for the breakup. They have a prenuptial agreement in place.
Later that month, an exclusive insider revealed to Us that Hurd “wasn’t expecting” the breakup and that Morris’ decision to end things “seems to have come out of the blue.”

After meeting in 2013 at a writing session for Tim McGraw’s song “Last Turn Home,” Morris and Hurd became friends. The two began dating two years later, and Hurd sang about their romance in his 2017 song “Love in a Bar.”
Morris exclusively told Us in 2019 that “[Ryan’s] always been a creative collaborator in my life; that’s how we met.” Six years ago, we were paired off to write a song.
