Mahomes, Pat
From 1992 to 2003, Pat was an MLB player. The Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates are just a few of the teams he has thrown for. He was a player for the Yokohama BayStars in Japan as well. Although Patrick participated in basketball, baseball, and football in school, his father encouraged him to give up on the other sports because he believed that baseball was the sport with the most potential.

Pat described his son’s physical prowess to the Los Angeles Times in February 2023, saying, “He grew up in the clubhouse, he was always around the game, and he was always the best player on his baseball team.” I always believed he was going to be a major league baseball player because he was an amazing shortstop who consistently led his team in batting and threw 97 mph when he was on the mound.

The Detroit Tigers selected Patrick in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. But in the end, he made the decision to concentrate on football rather than follow in his father’s footsteps. Patrick’s father has encouraged him throughout his career and shown his support at a number of his games as the great quarterback for the Chiefs.
