Myles Bryant, a cornerback for the New England Patriots, is aware of Taylor Swift’s response after he pushes her boyfriend Travis Kelce in the end zone.
“The game has big stakes. It’s amazing because people get really into it,” the 25-year-old Bryant said in a People interview that was released on Monday, December 18. “She’s into it, which is cool.” In the third quarter of the Chiefs vs. Patriots game on Sunday, December 17, Bryant hit Kelce. The tight end sent the officials a signal that he believed Bryant should have been penalized for pass interference, but no flag was raised. Swift appeared to say “f—k” and looked obviously unhappy when the cameras swiftly panned to her. Swift and her father, Scott Swift, watched the Chiefs defeat the Cowboys 27-17 on Sunday.
Sharp-eyed spectators saw the father-daughter pair taking selfies together throughout the game. When Taylor was displayed on the jumbotron, Scott, 71, indicated that he had since converted to the NFL by pointing to his Chiefs sweatshirt. (Before starting a relationship with Travis, Taylor and her father were Philadelphia Eagles supporters.) On Sunday, she was also seen in the suite with her friend Alana Haim, stylist Ashley Avignone, backing vocalist Melanie Nyema, and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes.
Taylor started attending Kelce’s NFL games on a regular basis after they made their relationship known to the public in September. She doesn’t seem to care that some football fans have criticized her for frequently attending games because the league is taking advantage of her fame.
“How they know what suite I’m in is beyond me. Swift said to TIME earlier this month, “I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast.”
