Sofia Vergara explains why her Union with Joe Manganiello was terminated: “That’s no longer for me.”
Sofía Vergara was quite open about what ended her relationship with Joe Manganiello. In a previous interview this month, Vergara, 51, answered a question about the cause behind her marriage’s dissolution to the Spanish newspaper El País. I recently went through a divorce from my second husband, with whom I spent ten years. My spouse was younger, which is why my marriage ended,” she disclosed. “I didn’t want to be an old mom, and he wanted kids.”
Manganiello, 47, desired to have a motherhood experience, but Vergara stated she had no intention of having any more children. (The actress and her ex-husband Joe Gonzalez welcomed a son, Manolo, in 1991. Two years later, the ex-couple announced their separation.)
“I think it’s unfair to the infant,” She went on, “I admire those who do it, but I’m not doing that anymore. “I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother. I had a son at 19, and he is now 32.” Vergara expressed optimism about the future despite the dissolution of her second marriage, saying, “So, if love comes along, he has to come with [his own] children.” It’s just the natural course of things that I’m almost menopausal. Let my son bring the kid to me when he gets married, and then I’ll give it back to him and get on with my life. That is my obligation. Previously, Vergara and Manganiello had kept quiet about what led to their breakup. In July 2023, Us Weekly verified that Manganiello has submitted a divorce petition.
