Star of the soap opera “General Hospital” spinoff “Port Charles,” David Gail, died at the age of 58.

David Gail, a soap opera star, passed away at age 58.

The role that made Gail most famous was that of Dr. Joe Scanlon on the General Hospital spinoff series Port Charles. Peter Ferriero, the host of a Beverly Hills, 90210 rerun podcast, confirmed his death. (Gail played Stuart Carson, Brenda Walsh’s former fiancé on Beverly Hills, 90210, portrayed by Shannen Doherty.)

Ferriero posted on Instagram Story that he had just learned about the actor’s passing through Gail’s pals. When Ferriero came on the podcast, he shared old footage as a way to pay tribute to Gail.

“Remembering David Gail. Ferreiro’s podcast Instagram page posted a series of anecdotes he shared when he first joined the show on Saturday, January 20. The post included video of Gail talking about Stuart and Brenda’s brief engagement while on a quick trip to Las Vegas. “To people who have reached out to me asking, ‘Why is this not appearing in Google?’ Please give up. The family will notify them of it when it’s appropriate,” Ferriero posted on his Instagram Story a few hours later. “I’m telling his fans what has happened, based on what I’ve been told. I’m grateful.

Katie Colmenares, Gail’s sister, has also spoken out about her brother’s passing. Colmenares posted on Instagram on Saturday, saying, “There hasn’t even been a day in my life when you weren’t by my side, always my wingman, always my best friend, ready to face anything and anyone [with] me.” “The bears will never be the same, but you, gorgeous, loving, amazing, fierce human being, will always have a special place in my heart.”
