Taylor Swift: In 2023, everything changed for the pop sensation. A look back at her year of record breaking.
If 2023 has taught us anything, it’s that we are merely stumbling into Taylor Swift’s universe.
Today marks Miss Americana’s 34th birthday and the launch of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour on Netflix, bringing an end to a year filled with career highs. The icing on top of being named Time’s Person of the Year and learning that her “Eras Tour” is officially the first to gross over $1 billion is that she is nominated for a Golden Globe this week for her concert movie.
Swift’s popularity may have annoyed some, but this year has been historic for the “Lavender Haze” singer, as she seemed to be hitting her stride in all areas of her life.
Everything she touches seems to turn to gold because of the complexity of her triumphs, which include the record-breaking tour that became the highest-grossing concert film of all time and may have earned her a Golden Globe. While doing all of this, she always seems to be at ease, whether it’s onstage in front of a sea of Swifties, at the red carpet for her movie premiere, or off the clock, sipping champagne in a Kansas City Chiefs luxury box.
