The cause of death of Soap Star David Gail was Disclosed

The reason behind the death of soap opera star David Gail has been disclosed. Gail’s representative, Linda Brown, revealed to Us Weekly on Monday, January 22, that the actor, best known for his role as Dr. Joe Scanlon on the General Hospital spinoff Port Charles, passed away from complications resulting from sudden cardiac arrest. He was fifty-eight.

According to Brown’s statement, “Gail was found unresponsive by emergency personnel who made every attempt to save his life, including defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).” Gail was placed on life support despite their best attempts, and he stayed there for a few days. The day of his death was January 16, 2024. The family had no reason to believe that a condition other than heart failure contributed to his death. “David will be remembered for his love of acting as well as his absolute passion and dedication to his friends and family,” the statement said. Everyone felt special in his presence because of a specific characteristic that he possessed.

On Monday, Mary, Gail’s mother, also posted a note in which she said, “We are deeply moved by the kindness that David’s devoted fans and coworkers have shown us. We appreciate all of the help we’ve gotten at this really trying time. On Saturday, January 20, Gail’s sister Katie Colmenares confirmed his passing. In memory of her brother, Colmenares posted on Instagram, “There’s barely been even a day in my life when you were not with me by my side always my wingman, always my best friend, ready to face anything and anyone [with] me.” “The bears will never be the same, but you, gorgeous, loving, amazing, fierce human being, will always have a special place in my heart.”
