The ‘Grateful’ star destroyed their marriage, according to the ex-wife of Britney Spears’s paparazzo boyfriend (Exclusive)
Britney Spears was being photographed by paparazzi Adnan Ghalib in late 2007 when the pop diva abruptly leaped into his car to get away from the hordes of photographers pursuing her. Ghalib and Spears’ bizarre relationship began with that fateful encounter; he pretended to his wife, AzLynn Berry, that it was only a friendship, but she quickly discovered it was much more.
Berry is now discussing the affair and that turbulent period of her life for the first time in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. Berry claims that, in part because of Ghalib’s roving gaze, their marriage, which began in 2003 when she was twenty-three, had always been difficult. She asserts, “He didn’t have a history of being honest about his relationship status.”
Berry was nonetheless adamant on finding a solution. “My family has never experienced divorce, and I come from a very religious background,” she says. In addition, I engaged in a lot of people-pleasing activities and continuously sought validation from others to gain their love. It was practically hard to construct anything substantial from that location. (Several attempts to get in touch with Ghalib were fruitless.) Nevertheless, Berry claims that when Ghalib started dating Spears, their relationship was at a “high point.” The woman emphasizes that she and Ghalib were “definitely still married” at the time, saying, “It was the closest we had ever been.”
