Travis Kelce Aids in preserving 56-year-old Kansas city resident’s house: “The entire world meant”
Beyond his success on the football field, Travis Kelce is also a community leader in Kansas City, utilizing his influence to support the locals.
The 34-year-old Kelce recently joined forces with Rebuilding Together Kansas City and his organization, 87 & Running, to assist with preserving the house of Gloria White, a longtime resident of Kansas City. In a video released by both groups, White—who once competed at the Olympic trials—exposed that she has spent 56 years living in her home.
In the video posted on Wednesday, January 10, White stated, “I love it here and I even love it more now,” adding that she still believes she is a “wonder woman” in spite of her advanced years. However, according to Scott Hickox, executive director of Rebuilding Together Kansas City, her residence was no longer appropriate for her requirements. We saw she required a lot more items when we had a look at her house. On Friday, January 12, Hickox told KSHB 41, the local news station, “She needed work done in the kitchen and bathroom, gutters, safety latches on the doors, and a new roof.” “We accomplished some noteworthy work.”
Hickox disclosed that Kelce sent enough money to cover all of the renovations after learning about White’s dilapidated house. Hickox continued, “Travis needed to partner with us because his foundation and he both cared about his community and what was going on in Kansas City.”
