Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift share a kiss on the field following the Chiefs’ victory and spot in Super Bowl LVIII.
After the Kansas City Chiefs won the football game on Sunday, January 28, 2024, they guaranteed their berth in the Super Bowl. Taylor Swift made her first trip onto the football field to kiss Travis Kelce. Swift, 34, went to the AFC Championship game on Sunday to cheer on her boyfriend’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, who were competing in M&T Bank Stadium in Maryland against the Baltimore Ravens for a spot in Super Bowl LVIII.
The Chiefs defeated the 49ers 17-10, and depending on who wins the NFC Championship, they will play either the Detroit Lions or the San Francisco 49ers in the pivotal game.
Kelce’s performance in the game made him the all-time leader in post-season receptions during the playoffs. Swift wasn’t the musician he mentioned as she held the hardware, but she was seen grinning as Kelce accepted the AFC Championship trophy. Kelce said, “You gotta fight for your right to party!” in reference to the Beastie Boys.
Since beginning a romantic relationship with Kelce, 34, in the summer of 2023, Swift has been a proud member of Chiefs Kingdom. As the season has gone on, the Grammy winner has been a regular at Arrowhead Stadium, having attended her first game there in September 2023. Swift has frequently come up during Chiefs game broadcasts, according to announcers. Tony Romo, a retired NFL player, even referred to her as Kelce’s “wife” twice.
Romo, 43, said, “And his wife loves it— I mean girlfriend,” as Swift celebrated a big play during the Christmas 2023 game. Jim Nantz, another announcer, retorted, saying, “You’ve been down that road with that before.”
