This tiara was last worn by the Queen Mother. Kate Middleton surprised everyone with her image

At the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, November 21, Kate Middleton donned the magnificent Strathmore Rose tiara, which belonged to the Queen Mother and had not been seen in public since the 1930s. The headpiece is made of diamond-studded geometric floral shapes.

The diadem was worn atop the Princess of Wales’s long brown hair, and she accessorized it with white elbow-length opera gloves and a Jenny Packham gown with gold accents and a cape. She had a tiny silver clutch purse in one hand and a set of diamond drop earrings that had once belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II in her ears.

One hundred and seventy people attended the four-course supper at the palace, including her husband Prince William, King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the band Blackpink, President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeo, and his First Lady Kim Keon Hee.

In the past, Kate has donned unique headpieces. At her nuptials with William, she wore the Cartier halo tiara, which King George VI had given to the Queen Mother.

She attended a formal dinner event last year where South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was welcomed, wearing a tiara that was often seen on William’s mother Princess Diana, also known as the Lover’s Knot.
