Dressed in a white button-down and black pants, she made an appearance toward the conclusion of the ceremony before Santa arrived in his sleigh to officially kick off the Christmas season. Cher was surrounded by dozens of dancers wearing all silver as she stood on a circular stage.

Cher never imagined that she would venture into uncharted area with the holiday record. “I never intended to make a Christmas record,” she stated in an October interview with Billboard. “However, [Warner Records] suggested that Cher record a Christmas album, and I responded, ‘If I can do my version, I’ll do it,’ and they were really nice.”
Cher insisted on leaving out a few of her all-time favorite Christmas songs that had been covered many times. “Everyone has heard “Jingle Bells” and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” among other things,” she clarified. “There will be Christmas songs, and they will be appropriate, but I want to do what I feel,” I told them.
